Terms & responsible use
newzcut is a tool for commentary, criticism, and reporting. A few plain-English ground rules keep everyone — and their cuts — safe.
Your cuts, your responsibility
You're responsible for the clips you pull and the takes you add. Use sources you have the right to use, and credit them where it counts.
Copyright-safe by default
Source audio is muted on every clip unless you turn it on, and clips are capped at ten seconds to keep your edits firmly in fair-use territory for commentary and criticism. That's a default, not legal advice.
No impersonation
Don't use voice cloning or captions to make someone appear to say something they didn't. Satire is welcome; deception isn't.
Your account & data
Your projects, gallery, and saved voices are tied to your account and stored securely in the cloud. We rely on trusted third-party providers to power features like video search, AI generation, and voice synthesis.
Demo software
This build is a demonstration. It ships without warranty, and features may change. Don't rely on it as a system of record.
